Law 6284 protects women, children and elders from domestic violence. The order is granted quickly and enforced strongly.
Fast access
Apply directly to the judge, or via police, governor's office, or the family directorate. The order issues within 24–48 hours, sometimes immediately.
Coverage
No-approach order to the victim, her home and workplace; removal of the abuser from the shared dwelling; no-contact (calls, messages, social media); police protection; admission to a shelter.
Duration
Initial 6 months, renewable. A new order can be requested as soon as one expires.
Penalty for breach
3–6 months imprisonment for first breach, escalating with repetition.
Beyond protection
The order does not bar a civil compensation claim, criminal complaint or divorce — these can run in parallel.
